About La Graciosa
Sand roads and empty beaches.
La Graciosa lies just off the northern tip of Lanzarote, across a narrow strait called El Río. It became the eighth officially recognised Canary Island in 2018. There are no paved roads: the streets of the harbour village, Caleta de Sebo, are sand, and the only other village is tiny Pedro Barba. The island is part of the Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park and sits inside one of Europe's largest marine reserves, with clear water, quiet beaches and small volcanoes to walk up.

Everything you need to know.
Getting there
There is no airport. Fly to Lanzarote (ACE), then take the ferry from Órzola in the north of Lanzarote to Caleta de Sebo, about half an hour away.
Getting around
On foot or by bike, both easy to hire by the harbour. 4×4 taxis go to the beaches. Visitors cannot bring cars.
When to go
All year. It is very sunny and can be windy. Summer weekends are the busiest, with day trippers from Lanzarote.
Where to stay
Small apartments and guesthouses in Caleta de Sebo. Staying overnight lets you see the island once the day trippers have left.
